Front drivers arch

Wks 30-32 3rd, 10th, 17th March

This is an update for the past 3 weeks now I have got the photos uploaded and some time to update

We have turned the car around in the garage to so that we can start work on the drivers side. Spent a day cleaning of most the under seal from the front drivers arch. Also seam sealed all the parts that we have done on the passenger side.
First bit of seam sealing
Then on to the inner arch for the drivers side. There is a bit more work on this side then the other when we started to look and prod around at it.

First we cut out and welded in the new bottom of the strut. Went in well.

Next we started to prod around at the bottom little bit of rust and have a look at the patch that was put on. The rust had started to go through the front of the heater channel. The patch must have been an MOT repair at it was just put on over some rust.

We cut back out the rust and I gave it a good clean up on the parts inside, 2 coats of kurust and a coat of paint to protect it before we weld back the pieces over it.

Started to make up the first piece of metal to set about making good the whole piece.

While underneath the car I did a good amount of scraping of the grease and dirt that is on the bottom of the body. Under the front wheel well is coming up lovely and won't need much work, just a clean back and paint before being undersealed.
